(and maybe before...) |
IN THE BEGINNING
Years ago, in the early days of cheap and easy web access, an idea was born from the minds of 2 very diverse individuals. One, an engineer in Saudi Arabia, was growing tired of the droll life of endless, thankless corporate life in a hot and dusty place. She needed to do something... different... and to there, she followed her roots as an artist...
The other, in a dead end job in civil service, and a writing talent that would not be quashed (along with a wicked sense of humor), began the journey to return to her roots, visualizing things in multiple dimensions...
The websites back then were sparse. HTML was clunky and difficult to bend (can you imagine *no* web graphics?), web access was controlled by people like AOL and Compuseve. Really. Yet, history as it was yet to be persevered...
The past carried on to the future. Like the Rhinovirus.

Shelli Renee Joye, Artist in Residence, Chief Consultant and Engineer
In 1999, after close to decades of languishing in the deserts of the middle east as a Data Design Engineer, and then years of amazing, yet unappreciated Software engineering work in the private, public, and not-for-profit advocacy fields, Shelli returned to her artist roots (spawned in Warhol's infamous Factory in NYC in the mid 1960's), where she resumed painting her awe-inspiring color field art in a studio located directly over the
(also infamous) Hayward Fault.
Shelli currently is featured in shows and galleries on the West Coast, and select of her work may be available for purchase.
She also writes (paints) authentic Russian Icons in the 17th century
style. NO Silk Screen imitations here.
She also volunteers part time, assisting the depraved and disadvantaged
populous become an audience for the wonders of numerous web-based sites, including the award-winning S&S WEB. Shelli currently resides in her hillside villa with her wife and their
menagerie of animals.

Susanne Rohner, Chief Photographer, Director of Administration and writer for S&S WEB.
From her roots in the fields of Vehicle Engineering, Photojournalism, and Entertainment, followed by a long and somewhat
almost sustaining career in Civil Service, Susanne also followed out the truth of her path in the arts as a professional musician. Having less than
negligible successes in the music field, she applied her knowledge of database and website development and professional photography, as well as her witty and irreverent writing style to develop both the original Susanne's Roadhouse in the late 1990's, as well as the current incarnation and development and initialization of the world
renowned S&S WEB.
In her spare time, Susanne also builds art cars and mutant vehicles with international art consortium known as Apokiliptika, and continues her love of writing and photography. She also is an avid motorcyclist, claiming over a million miles on two wheels since the mid-1970's.
She also lives in the local foothills of her home, and lives with her wife and partner of almost a decade, and shares an historic artist's colony with Nuggles and a hoarde of Feral Wildcats.

**** has an extensive background in finance, medicine, aviation, nuclear physics research, administration and management. This experience is supplemented by broad skills in customer interpersonal relationships, hugging select
conifers, performing social and other types of intercourse for fun and profit, and being a minor princess in various European royal houses. She also spends her afternoons off skydiving in the Himalayas, deep sea diving off the coast of Tibet, Mountaineering along the
Marianas Trench, and performing Toltec Sacrifice Ceremonies "in the traditional manner" with ancient Toltec
priestesses she has brought forward in time. She has done everything, and looks forward to retiring on her family's historic farming plantation on Mars. She currently is occupied in changing identities and fleeing geographically from the ruin she tried (rather quite unsuccessfully) to make others lives into.
She makes her greatest contribution to our enterprise by not working here, and staying far away. We're grateful for this lack of her presence, and hope she gets better someday.
